Coffee Story
Grown in the beautiful Espirito Santo region of Brazil, Rancho Dantas comes to us from producer Antonio Deloi de Moura's family farm near the town of Brejetuba. Mr. Antonio Deloi and his wife have worked their entire lives as coffee pickers on properties in the state of Espírito Santo. They've always dreamed of owning a coffee farm and finally bought a small piece of land in 2004 to plant some trees to start their crops. After years of hard work, consistent expansion, and pulping coffee on a neighbouring property, they finally collected enough money and bought Rancho Dantas in 2013. Today, Mr. Antonio's and his wife's farm has all the necessary machinery to carry out the processing of coffee, as well as to guarantee their quality. Their soil is rich in nutrients and has a high level of organic mixers. They constantly do soil analysis to make correct fertilization and soil correction. Nowadays, they only do selective picking, choosing the ripe cherries, and going through the same tree 3 to 4 times per crop. They also ferment the coffee for 12 hours before washing it. The whole family helps as much as they can daily and is very proud of their history and efforts to achieve everything they have today.
